Why did it take so long?

Because we, as humans, feel selfish, guilty, and shameful.

We short change ourselves with unhealthy thinking patterns: “How could I possibly take an hour out of my week to go to therapy when I have a million things on my plate?”

But the answer is simple.

Because you are important.

Because you matter.

No one else possesses exactly what you have to offer, and you are needed.
