About Therapy

Purpose. Authenticity. Empowerment.

You want something more – something better – something satisfying.

I’m glad you’re here.

It means you’re ready to take the first step into creating the life you’ve always imagined.

The life you deserve.

You walk through the door.

“What am I thinking?” you ask yourself. “This isn’t going to work; nothing’s worked.”

As you walk through my door, it may be that you’ve all but given up hope.

But as you sit down and begin to chat with me, you realize for the first time in a very long time…

You feel safe.

You come back to each session longing for that comfort.

Before long, you’ve learned to trust me with your words, your actions, your whole being.

Being vulnerable can make you uneasy.

Sometimes, you challenge the trust. You wonder if it’s real – if I’ll be there when you arrive.

But when I show up every session, accepting you and not judging you, you let that guard down completely. “Someone finally gets me.”

You feel heard. You feel hope.

Gradually, you allow yourself to dig deeper and realize that there is someone worth fighting for. YOU!

You feel stronger. You grow confident. You become a warrior.

The will to fight for yourself is on the forefront of your mind. You’re striving every day.

You heal. You learn. You love.

Together, you and I will walk your journey of recovery and self-acceptance, allowing you to be exactly who you are every step of the way.

Along the way, you’ll make discoveries, accept every part of yourself, and learn to love yourself wholeheartedly.

And you’ll never walk alone.

This is what I love to do. I love to help people find their true selves, break free from the chains of addiction or trauma, and live the life they have always wanted to live.

My passion is to be empathetic and non-judgmental but also challenge you to strive for more.

You can always be more.

More than you are right now, more than you’ll be tomorrow, more than you’ll be next month, or next year.

You can have everything you want. But you have to drive it forward.

You have to want it. You have to work at it – hard.

I know – because I’ve walked that road, too.

My journey to self-love was nothing short of amazing, but it took a lot of time and effort.

You’re here. Let’s make the most of it.

Reach out to me today (770) 450-5556. I’m excited to make this journey with you.

A personal look

I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but my parents thought it was too cold up there; so we moved down to Georgia when I was five years old.

Two of my biggest passions are dogs and horses; however, my horses live in Wyoming.

I love to read, watch mindless TV, and learn new things, such as experimenting with new recipes.

I carve working out and spending quality time with my family into my daily routine.

If I’m not at home or at work, you can find me strolling through Piedmont Park or trying a new restaurant around Atlanta.

My credentials

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
